Welcome to the website of Houghton Hall Park in Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire. Houghton Hall Park is a publicly accessible 17 hectare urban park with a rich heritage, highly valued by the local community and playing an important role in the history, culture and landscape of the local area.
Central Bedfordshire Council was awarded a grant of £2.2 million to transform the park, from Heritage and Big Lottery Funds ‘Parks for People’ grant scheme. The park has undergone an impressive transformation as part of the 'Renaissance and Renewal Project' which has been an opportunity for the park and its heritage to be protected while delivering multiple community benefits, making Houghton Regis a better place to live, work and visit. Find out more about this project on the History page.
The park features a versatile visitor centre which opened in October 2017 and provides a valuable hub for the local community. Just walking distance from the town centre, the building is home to bookable meeting spaces, a café with both indoor and outdoor seating, children’s discovery area, and interactive interpretation about the park and other local heritage. More information about visiting the park can be found here.
