Get Involved

The project team is working with the local community to develop plans to revitalise Houghton Hall Park. Schools and colleges, young people, community organisations and local people are all playing a role in the development of the Renaissance and Renewal Project.  See the links below to find out how you can get involved.

Become a ‘Friend of Houghton Hall Park’ Open

The Friends of Houghton Hall Park are a sociable group of dedicated volunteers. They are the champions of the park, who currently focus on practical conservation work.

The ‘Renaissance and Renewal Project’ offers volunteers both skills training and the opportunity to get involved in developing management and activity plans for the site.

There will be a series of open public meetings, for details contact The Greensand Trust.

Houghton Regis Heritage Society Open

The project partnership is working closely with members of the Houghton Regis Heritage Society, who are currently collating historical evidence about the site.

They are doing this in two ways:
• through primary research of historical records
• an oral history project (collecting socio-cultural ‘living history’ memories of the park)

If you are interested in the history of the project area, you can contact Houghton Regis Heritage Society c/o Houghton Regis Town Council Offices, Peel Street, Houghton Regis, Beds LU5 5EY. Website: www.hrhs.org.uk.
