Join us for a guided nature immersion walk this winter - a chance to slow down, awaken your senses and mindfully connect to nature.
During this gentle walk, you'll be guided on a sensory journey to help you mindfully connect to nature and explore what the changing winter season has to offer.
The dates available to book are: Friday 14th January and Friday 11th March. The timing for each is 10-11.15am. Each session costs £7.
The walk is based on the the principles of shinrin yoku (translated from Japanese as forest bathing). This has proven benefits to our mental health and wellbeing - helping us to reduce stress and even boosting our immune system. At the end of a forest bathing session, participants have said:
“ I thoroughly enjoyed it and I certainly relaxed during the session. It was a great way to unwind and de-stress ..“
“I found it very therapeutic, it was very relaxing and de stressing.."
"I felt calmer and it's created some really nice memories..”
Set in 42 acres of historic parkland, Houghton Hall Park is a beautiful area with woodland, meadows and formal gardens to explore. It is situated in the town of Houghton Regis and its facilities include a carpark, toilets and a cafe.
Nicola is a qualified forest therapy guide. She has a background in ecology and helping people to connect with nature.
